Is there anything better at the end of a long day than a relaxing bubble bath?
I love to make my own homemade bubble bath with essential oils. And this is one of my favorite bubble bath recipes.
I love how the vanilla oleoresin and lavender essential oil combine to make a warm floral scent that helps me relax, unwind, and let go.
After soaking in a tub of this calming lavender vanilla bubble bath, I’m pretty much guaranteed to get a great night’s sleep.

step 3 (optional):Â make your bath water a relaxing shade of lavender by adding a few drops of soap colorant to your bubble bath
tip: start with 2 drops of blue soap colorant and 3 drops of red soap colorant. You can always add more if you want a deeper, richer color.

step 5:Â pour bubble bath into a bottle.
You can use a squeeze bottle or use a mason jar with soap pump like I do. It looks cute in the bathroom, and it’s easy to control how much bubble bath goes in the tub.

I tried your bubble bath recipe and the bubbles went away as quick as they came. Why is that?
Not sure.
This bubble bath won’t last as long as store bought bubble baths. That’s because there isn’t a surfactant to reduce the surface tension between the water and the soap (which makes big bubbles that last a long time).
But the bubbles shouldn’t immediately disappear.
My guess is that maybe you were also using soap and that caused the bubbles to dissipate much faster than normal.
