Life is so busy. It’s easy to neglect your nails.
Gel manicures, washing dishes, changing seasons, dry weather, and excessive use of nail polish remover can all cause havoc on our fingernails.
The result is dry, weak, brittle nails that split and break easily.
Thank goodness this homemade nail serum is so easy to make. With just a few ingredients and in about one minute, you can make this natural essential oil nail serum.
It nourishes and strengthens fingernails.
Plus it stimulates healthy nail growth.
And it restores moisture to make nails more flexible and resilient.
This Homemade Nail Serum Really Works
jojoba oil – contains lots of amazing fatty acids that provide intensive hydration and natural moisture to dry and brittle nail beds and cuticles. Jojoba also helps repair damaged collagen inside nail beds, improving strength and promoting healthy nail growth. And because jojoba oil is made of very small-sized molecules, it penetrates between the nail layers and is able to go deeper into the nail to condition and soften it.
vitamin e – strengthens brittle nails, softens cuticles, helps prevent hangnails, and conditions cuticles while increasing nail flexibility
lavender essential oil – calms and soothes inflamed cuticles and strengthens weak, brittle nails
lemon essential oil – helps strengthen damaged and peeling nails
frankincense essential oil – helps moisturize nails so that they can grow longer and stronger and enhances the properties of the other essential oils
myrrh essential oil – one of the best essential oils for nail growth. moisturizes deeply to help relieve brittleness, thinning, and breaking

step 1: add 1 1/4 teaspoon jojoba oil to roller bottle (like this)
(look for an organic, hexane-free jojoba oil like this)
I just eyeball this measurement.  It’s about two-thirds of a 10ml bottle.
step 2:Â add 1/2 teaspoon vitamin e (like this)
Again, I just eyeball this measurement. Add vitamin e until roller bottle is almost full — but leave space at the top to add the essential oils and to put the rollerball on.
step 3:Â add the following essential oils
5 drops lavender essential oil
5 drops lemon essential oil
5 drops frankincense essential oil
5 drops myrrh essential oil
this is a 10% dilution, which is a greater concentration of essential oils than I typical use in topical applications. I’ve found that this blend dilution rate is what works best for my fingernails when apply 2-3 times a week.
step 4:Â snap on the rollerball
make sure that it is on securely so it doesn’t leak.
then gently shake the roller bottle to mix the oils.
step 5:Â apply a label

You can print this label on water-resistant label paper (like this)Â or plain printer paper and use packing tape (like this) to adhere to bottle.
tip- before applying label, wipe outside of bottle clean with rubbing alcohol. Let dry and then apply label.
