Eyebrow Growth Serum for Thick, Full Eyebrows

Thin, patchy eyebrows can happen for many reasons.

… over trimmed

… over plucked

… changing hormones as we get older

… thyroid issues

… overactive immune system

… nutritional deficiencies

The list goes on and on.

This eyebrow serum won’t fix the underlying conditions that might being causing your thinning eyebrows, but it is a simple solution that can help slow eyebrow hair loss and help eyebrows grow in faster, fuller, and thicker.

Using just a couple organic oils and essential oils, this natural eyebrow thickening serum is super simple to make.  Mix up a batch in about 1 minute, then apply to your eyebrows every night.

In about 6-8 weeks (the typical hair growth cycle for eyebrows), thin, sparse, patchy eyebrows will  appear fuller, thicker, and healthier looking.

Castor oil is fabulous for improving hair growth.  It helps eyebrows grow faster and thicker.

It does this in a few ways.  First, it has moisturizing properties that nourish hair follicles.

Second, fatty acids in castor oil care for hair and stimulate more hair growth.

Finally, because it’s deeply penetrating that helps boost eyebrow growth.

Sweet almond oil conditions brows.  It contains essential fatty acids which are key for healthy hair growth.

Plus, sweet almond oil penetrates hair and strengthens hair by sealing in moisture.

  • rosemary essential oil

Rosemary essential oil stimulates blood circulation which nourishes the hair follicles and helps hair to grow.

Additionally, rosemary is a natural anti-inflammatory which helps reduce hair loss and makes it easier for new hair to grow.

  • lavender essential oil

Like rosemary, lavender also helps improve circulation.  That improved circulation helps stimulate the hair follicles, reducing hair loss and improving eyebrow growth.

  • cedarwood essential oil

Cedarwood is another top essential oil for eyebrow growth.  It helps balance the oil-producing glands on the forehead and brow area, making the environment more condusive to hair growth.

It also helps stimulate the eyebrow hair follicles, making eyebrows grow faster and thicker.

  • tea tree essential oil

Tea tree essential oil (also known as melaleuca) helps remove debris and buildup from eyebrow follicles.  Clean hair follicles makes it easier for new hairs to sprout and push through eyebrow, which means thicker and faster growing eyebrows.

  • vitamin E

Vitamin E is a fat-soluble vitamin that’s loaded with good-for-your-hair nutrients.

Plus, it improves blood circulation which provides optimal nourishment to hair follicles.

And it helps balance oil production and unclog pores which can help retain eyebrow hair so it’s less likely to fall out or thin.

How to make eyebrow growth serum

step 1:  use a pipette or a small funnel to fill 8ml empty mascara tube about halfway full with castor oil (4 ml)

tip:  You can find the empty mascara tubes online here.

fill eyegrowth serum bottle half full with castor oil

step 2:  use pipette or small funnel to add 3 ml of sweet almond oil

tip: You don’t need to measure the sweet almond oil.  Simply add enough oil to fill the mascara tube most of the way full.  Leave about 1 inch at the top of the tube so that there’ll be room for the vitamin e and essential oils in the next steps.

step 5:  put the cap on the mascara tube and shake well to combine

step 6:  add a label (click here for a free printable label)

tip:  You can print this label on full-sheet label paper, or do what I do and print the label on regular printer paper and attach it to the spray bottle with packing tape.  It’s cheap and easy to do.  Plus, I find that the labels stay on better using packing tape than with regular label paper, and the packing tape protects the label really well, which keeps the labels looking great for a long time.

tip:  To help the label stick really well, first wipe the tube clean with a little rubbing alcohol.  Allow to dry and then apply the label.

How to use

  1. Clean your face and eyebrows with warm water and facial cleanser to remove any traces of makeup (my recipe for foaming face wash here)
  2. Brush serum wand over and into both eyebrows.  This will coat eyebrows with growth and thickening serum.
  3. Use fingertips to gently massage serum into eyebrows for 1-2 minutes
  4. Leave on overnight (It works while you sleep)
  5. Use regularly for best results

In about 6-8 weeks (the typical hair growth cycle for eyebrows), thin, sparse, patchy eyebrows will  appear fuller, thicker, and healthier looking.

caution: Be careful to not get serum in your eyes.  Do not apply too much serum as that could cause it to drip down into your eyes.  If you accidentally get any serum in your eyes, flush eyes with whole milk or cream.  The fat in the milk will help to dilute the essential oils and flush them out of your eyes.
